A Tiny Pub began as a simple idea born out of unexpected circumstances. In Thamel, Kathmandu’s lively tourist district, there was once just an ordinary office on the second floor of a building. Then the pandemic changed everything. When the other businesses in the building moved out, the owner gave a clear choice: take over all the empty floors or leave completely.
Rather than lose the office space, a creative solution emerged. Why not use some of the extra space for something new while keeping the office? The idea for a small, private bar was born – just a simple place for friends to enjoy drinks on weekends.
For a whole year, this secret spot stayed just for close friends. The rooftop was added later, giving everyone a perfect view of Thamel’s exciting streets below. It quickly became the best part of the place.
In 2023, the decision was made to open to the public. Travelers exploring Thamel discovered this special rooftop bar and loved it. What began as a way to keep an office space became one of Thamel’s most welcoming spots.
